Well, I guess summer is officially over! And that sucks! Last weekend we enjoyed our last nice day. We went to Newport, Oregon and stayed at The Elizabeth Street Inn where we had a fantastic view of the ocean and the weather cooperated quite nicely. It was about 80 degrees, very little wind and no clouds! For the Oregon Coast, this was a treat and pretty much a lucky draw for us because that hardly ever happens!
Anyway, Randy had an engagement shoot on Saturday so Kaylee and I explored the beach and the lighthouse before meeting up with daddy for dinner. Dinner was outstanding. Randy's couple, who live in Newport, recommended LocalOcean and we weren't disappointed! Then back to the hotel to be lulled asleep by the ocean waves hitting the beach...ahhh, tranquility at it's best!
Sunday we got up, ate a light breakfast then headed down to the beach to snap some more photos of our great adventure. Then it was off to Lincoln City to do a little shopping at the Outlet Mall. We all walked away with some pretty cool stuff! Kaylee was very excited when I presented her with a new purse! I scored some major mama points that day!
After shopping, we wanted to find this great restaurant we remembered from a previous coastal trip, The Wildflower Grill. With only our memories to guide us (yikes!), we set on down Hwy 101 and found our charming little cafe! Lunch was yummy and then it was back to reality...the drive home!
I have some great pictures from our little excursion so stay tuned.
But now, I must go...beauty calls and so did my hair stylist saying I can come in early for my hair appointment!
Tonight, a birthday party Randy is photographing and I'm assisting and tomorrow, the Prutch's I believe!
Happy Saturday!

Kaylee
I guess when you're a photographer's daughter, you simply learn to be at ease in front of the camera. This is true in the case of all our girls but especially Kaylee. She's very photogenic and loves the attention. These are a few pics dad took of her last week while I was in New Orleans and he sent them to me so I wouldn't miss her as much. I still did but I enjoyed the photos!
