I went to work today and my co-workers were like "Why are you working on your birthday?" Normally, I don't work on my birthday but since no major plans were made because it's Wednesday, it's the first day of school, first day of dance (for Kaylee of course), AND I just had a four day weekend, I figured I'd work and just celebrate tonight with my family.
But I thought about it some more (for about two seconds) and decided they were right. So I left work early, had a nice lunch with my friend Linda and Randy (where I was able to enjoy a birthday beer) and came home to eat the box of chocolates Sandy sent me. Well, I didn't eat the whole box and Randy helped but you get the idea.
Now it's off to dropping off Kaylee and then get ready for my date with a very special someone...he.he.he.
So, until tomorrow or Friday or whenever...

September 1, 2008
September is my favorite month for several reasons. Number one, it happens to be my birthday month. Two, it's when school starts and life kind of gets a fresh start. Three, it's the beginning of Fall but it's still warm and sunny. And four, it's my birthday month!
There are two days until my birthday, two months until Halloween, and three months until Christmas and the new year! YEAH! And even though I experienced some wonderful, memorable moments this past year (thus far), I really can't wait for 2008 to be over. You know how you have those years where you're being challenged every which way you turn? And then there are those years where everything goes smoothly? Well, my year was the former.
I'm pretty ecstatic and satisfied that I've come through this year with just some minor cuts and bruises but I would like a break as we wind down 2008 and head into 2009. And September, for me, represents that downhill trek.
So here's to September...CHEERS!

Me and my hubby...
It's not that often that Randy and I have photos taken together. Usually because he is behind the camera when we're together taking portraits of our girls.
On this special occasion, however, we were at a wedding of a client/friend and our friend, Brian Shumaker was the photographer. Mind you, these photos were taken almost a year ago to the date but we're just now getting around to having them. It must be a photographer thing...I don't know, but I was happy to finally receive them since, like I said, photos of us together are very rare.
I think some inside joke was being passed back and forth between Randy and Brian but we were having such a good time. The bride and groom actually wanted Randy to shoot their wedding but he had already booked that date. Lucky for me, it was a short day for him, and I was able to bring him as my date! They were all pleasantly surprised to see him there and he was SO glad that he was able to enjoy the festivities vs. watching everyone else have fun!
Ahhhh...Yummy kisses! 10 years together and still going strong!
