Well, Amy and I figured out that this was our 7th year together as KepPrutch! We are now in a common law relationship.
This 4th of July was very mellow. We hung out with Amy, JP and kids, lit fireworks all day, drank some, ate lots, and finished the day off with the Firework Grand Finale at the schoolyard (every one's favorite!). It's hard to believe it's been seven years. Kara was only 10 the first year we went to the Prutch's, and now our babies are that age! The one constant in all of this is that we know what we'll be doing every 4th and our whole family loves it! This may be the last one for the older girls though. Who knows what the next few years will be like. Kara will be in college and Megan, miss social butterfly, may just decide to stay in Cali next summer. So, it was great fun and hopefully new memories were made to add to the last six! At least no one caught on fire this year!
The girls and I are on the final countdown! Six more days until we leave for Florida! We are ecstatic! We shopped yesterday for some last minute "must haves" for our wardrobes and this week we'll get all our "primping" done: nails, pedicures, hair, etc...The time has passed so quickly, I can't believe it's here! Part of me wishes it wasn't just because I know it will go by quickly as well, then the girls go home. That's always the hardest part!!!
This week will be a busy one so I'd better stop procrastinating and get back to work!
