After a week of the news threatening a "major winter storm", it finally hit last night! Thankfully after Megan arrived from California! Now all three girls are braving the cold wind and falling snow as they sled down the hill at Kaylee's school. It took about an hour to bundle them up in all the protective gear! I thought they'd be back by now but they're still out there having a good time.
We tried to go to the mall earlier today but after sliding around so much only a few blocks away from our house, we decided not to be "those stupid people" who drive around in the snow with no studded tires or chains and play bumper cars in the snow. I didn't feel like being on the 5 o'clock news. So we turned around and went to plan B: gingerbread houses and sledding. Now they're back and it's time for hot cocoa.
I hope the snow stops enough for us to finish our shopping before Christmas but lingers around long enough to make it a white Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you're with those you love and enjoying this holiday as much as we are!!!
